I need internet access at home to complete NTC coursework. Does the library lend mifi devices?
Answer
Yes, we do! Current students may present their NTC Student ID card at the library desk to borrow a one-month mifi device. While mifi renewals are not available, you may borrow a different mifi unit once the previous device is returned.
Students will sign an equipment agreement form with each mifi lending transaction. (Students who are minors will need a parent or guardian signature.)
It’s important to note: Entertainment streaming services (e.g. Netflix) are prohibited unless part of a NTC course assignment. NTC mifi devices may only be used for NTC-related purposes.
NTC student mifi devices provide up to 10 GB during their 1-month data cycle. Mifi will function with reduced internet speeds once the data is used up.
Mifi devices may not be used outside of the United States.
