I would like to borrow a library book or magazine. How long can I keep it? Can I extend the due date if I need it longer?

Patrons are welcome to borrow books & magazines from the library’s main collection for free by visiting the library desk with their NTC library card (or NTC ID card).
- Current NTC students may borrow these items for two weeks.
- NTC staff, faculty, and adjuncts may borrow these items for one month.
- Community patrons may borrow items for two weeks.
Borrowed items from our main collection may be renewed up to three times if there is no waitlist or other restrictions. To renew items, contact our library team or visit your online account.
Note: Course Reserves, interlibrary loans, and library equipment may have different lending periods & renewal options.
